San Rafael Pacifics Win 2014 Pacific Association Championship

The San Rafael Pacifics won the 2014 Pacific Association championship over the weekend.  They came from behind in the final game to defeat the Vallejo Admirals by a final score of 11-8.

The team’s only other championship was winning the Pacific/Northern division title of the 2012 NABL championship.

  1. No playoffs? Well, that’s a refreshing surprise. And probably not needed for this league. They would have trouble drawing some curious onlookers.

    Whereas the CanAm also only being four teams this year will do well at the gate with the series between New Jersey and Rockland. They being so close will make this a very interesting series, and THANK GOD we don’t have to deal with another Quebec championship! ENOUGH already.

    They probably should have put the Boulders into the playoffs with the AA, but they will have travel headaches as it is. Good finish with Lincoln ekeing out Gary, while Winnepeg and Wichita romped. Advance tickets should go well at those two venues. Just hope the CanAm returns to six teams at least next year. Nice to see Ottawa on board…don’t know why they can’t get something going in Montreal again. But i hope to see Newark return!

  2. Maybe Atlantic City will welcome the family entertainment of the Surf again, now that the casinos are washing out. They should play a few games at the old historic Negro ballfield on the other side of town as well!
