San Rafael Pacifics And Pacific Association News

The San Rafael Pacifics (of the new Pacific Association) announced a few things things on their website this week:

  • Confirmation that last year’s Sonoma County Grapes travel team will not be back, but there is hope for 2014
  • The team also mentioned the possibility of two additional teams joining for 2014:  the East Bay Lumberjacks and a team from Santa Rosa.  Neither of the two teams have ever been involved with independent baseball
  • The Pacifics hired the Pacific West Conference’s Sports Information Director (SID) of 2012 to be the team’s Director of Public and Media Relations

  1. So they still have the Vallejo Admirals for 2013, and the two Maui teams, correct? The Ads and Pacs will also play the four teams from the Freedom league in Arizona, while the Maui teams will play the independent teams from Japan. Totally unbalanced of course, but an interesting spread to say the least. Just can’t see HOW they can afford to do all that traveling, plus end up playing each other in Maui and No. California as they originally did. Crazy man.

This all can be easily scheduled with several overseas trips having to last a week at one or two opponents. Two weeks covers them all for three game series, home and away. THEREFORE, WHEN is the schedule coming OUT, and where do we find it. Is there a new web site up yet for the congomerate “league” yet? What is it??
