Long Island Ducks Win The 2012 Atlantic League Championship

The Long Island Ducks defeated the Lancaster Barnstormers to win the deciding Game 5 of the best-of-five 2012 Atlantic League championship series.  They won in the bottom of the ninth inning with a squeeze play, with the final score being 5-4.

This is the last game of the 2012 independent professional baseball league season, as all other leagues are already finished with their seasons.  The Ducks have been added to the list of independent minor league baseball championships since the 1993 season.
