Laredo Lemurs May Not Be A Part Of 2012 American Association

The Laredo Lemurs, a new team scheduled to play in 2012, were originally discussed to be a part of the 2012 American Association’s schedule.  A recent article out of Laredo indicates that such may not be the case:

The article, copied from the Laredo Times (original article is behind a password, so a direct link cannot be provided), quotes Miles Wolff as being interested in the team but no formal application has been received by the American Association.  Schuster, and Ventura Group, have been involved with independent baseball for years; and most recently the Ventura group owned the El Paso Diablos and the Grand Prairie Airhogs.

When more news on this situation gets confirmed then it will be included on this site.
