Jeff Scott Named Pitching Coach For The Sugar Land Skeeters

Longtime pro baseball veteran and last season’s manager of the Camden Riversharks, Jeff Scott, was named as the pitching coach for the Sugar Land Skeeters (Atlantic League).  He will be joining Gary Gaetti’s staff, along with the returning Vic Gutierrez as hitting coach.

  1. They should be very competitive this season. Good group there. Just wish the AL had worked harder to find another Texas franchise, making the long trips south more normal. Next year? Probably the following, IF the Loudon VA group finally get their act rolling. Cannot believe they still try when faced with such resistance. Might not be the success they hope to be.

    Still cannot believe the AL is ignoring the plentiful Dover DE area where I firmly believe it is RIPE for success. Two strong colleges AND an active military base and a profitable race track/casino? Large population base supporting it all? Come ON! Can’t miss!
