The Grand Prairie Airhogs (American Association) independent professional baseball team announced this week that it has new ownership:
Southern Independent Baseball Group now has three teams in the American Association: Amarillo Sox, Grand Prairie Airhogs, and Shreveport-Bossier Captains. All three teams are in the South Division of the AA. The Airhogs were owned previously by the Ventura Group, which owns the El Paso Diablos and plan on operating the new Laredo team in 2012.
