Commentary On The Newark Bears

New York Baseball Digest had a recent article about its opinions on the Newark Bears situation.  It has an unfavorable outlook based on previous Atlantic League teams (Atlantic City Surf and Nashua Pride) which did not survive long after transitioning to the Can-Am League:

The question is if the new ownership and front office can turn things around for the Bears’ organization.  If you have any helpful information (e.g. local newspaper articles, etc.) then feel free to leave a comment which helps the conversation.

  1. I hope Newark Bears owners can turn things around. I was there last Sunday had a blast- I got autographs from Tim. Raines, Jim Leyritz and Bill Buckner- he manages the opposing
Brockton ROX. Its ten bucks to get in. The stadium is nowhere near Newarks
Housing projects and doesn’t attract the drug dealers or other low lives its all family people
By car its easy on easy off Route 280. The nj transit stop is right outside. Newark Broad Street

You’ll spend less $$$ in this place than at a movie.
