Bobby Brown Named First Manager of Abilene Prairie Dogs

The newly-formed Abilene Prairie Dogs (North American League) have named Bobby Brown as their first manager.  He most recently served as the hitting coach for the San Angelo Colts, also of the NAL.  This appears to be an internal move as the Colts’ general manager also is overseeing much of the operations for, and development of, the Prairie Dogs.

Brown’s first managerial job was in 2010 with the Las Cruces Vaqueros.  The first article incorrectly states that the 2010 Vaqueros were with the Pecos League.  Instead, the 2010 Vaqueros played in the last season of the Continental Baseball League.  The 2011 Vaqueros team was a part of the first season of the Pecos League.
