New Independent Baseball League: The Diamond League

Frank Boulton and Michael Pfaff, both with the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League, announced yesterday the official launch of the new Diamond League of Professional Baseball Clubs.  The league intends to have teams in the Northeast and is focused on the developing player.

In different outlets, league officials have stated that this league is not a part of the Atlantic League even though most of its officials and advisory board are current or former Atlantic League personnel.  Here are the officials and the advisory board members:

Lots of insider speculation has been going on regarding which current cities are being visited which meet the stated standards for the league’s stadiums (http://diamondprobaseball.com/host_cities/).  Only when confirmed announcements have been made will those cities appear on this site.
