Some Tax-Friendly Help For Independent Baseball?

Here is an interesting article about a possible tax exempt status legislation for non-affiliated teams in the state of Ohio:

It is interesting to note that they are proposing this to attract independent baseball to the region.  If so, the state of Ohio (and the region) must see the benefit of independent baseball from a tax revenue and credibility standpoint.

If you have other information on tax exemptions specific to independent baseball then please leave a comment here with a link(s) to relevant sites citing your claim.  Again, anything which adds legitimacy to the independent baseball industry is welcome on this site, especially when it comes in the form of endorsements from state agencies and major sponsors.
